Interv_l are working with a rapidly growing NERS accredited ICP and EV installer as they hunt for a project Engineer.
our main focus is making sure projects run smoothly from start to finish. You’ll play a key role in bringing everything together from planning and organising teams, to managing civils and electrical work, all the way through to handing over to the customer. You'll work across both the EV installation and ICP teams, helping to improve how we deliver projects and making sure everything is done safely, efficiently, and to a high standard on site.
What you'll be doing
* Work closely with the Project Manager to keep everything on track.
* Carry out site surveys to help plan and prepare for the job.
* Review RAMS and design documents to make sure everything’s in order before work starts.
* Oversee the setup of the site, making sure everything’s ready to go.
* Welcome and induct the team when they arrive on site.
* Keep in regular contact with the site manager, making sure they’re happy with the work from start to finish.
* Build strong relationships with our engineers and subcontractors.
* Take ownership of improving how we deliver on-site builds.
* Mark up red-lined drawings and create accurate “as-laid” cable designs once the work is done.
* Make sure all build photos and documents are captured and ready for handover.
* Always prioritise safety on site while keeping things running efficiently.
What you'll need
* Hands-on experience delivering projects in the EV space or a similar industry.
* Confident with IT, especially tools like Excel, Word, and Access.
* Solid understanding of the EV industry and how it operates.
* Background in a construction-related role, with on-site experience.
* Comfortable managing subcontractors and getting the best out of them.
* Strong at building and maintaining supplier relationships.
* Familiar with CDM regulations and how to apply them on site.
* Experience leading teams (both in-house and external partners) to deliver complex projects on time, on budget, and to a high standard.
* Proven ability to bring in fresh ideas and industry best practices to help improve how things are done.
* Skilled at managing remote and cross-functional teams across multiple locations.
* Holds SSSTS and SMSTS certifications.
* Full UK driving licence
