Property & Casualty Underwriter - Casualty Focus
Location: Bristol (Hybrid Working)
Salary: Up to £70,000 + Bonus
A leading insurer is seeking a P&C Underwriter with a strong casualty focus to join its growing regional team in Bristol. This is a key strategic hire as part of a broader investment into Bristol, offering the opportunity to influence portfolio growth and build strong market relationships. This role would suit an experienced underwriter ready to step into a position to shape the next phase of a regional P&C build-out.
What Youll Be Doing:
* Underwrite a mix of new and renewal mid-market business across casualty, property and package, with a particular emphasis on casualty risks.
* Lead new business efforts and maintain broker relationships, especially within the Bristol market.
* Represent the P&C proposition at broker meetings, events, and client reviews.
* Work collaboratively across teams, including distribution and other underwriting lines, to uncover cross-sell opportunities.
* Mentor and support junior underwriters, setting a high standard in technical ability and customer engagement.
