The Role: This position is an overlay role that supports the sales, engineering delivery and managed services groups as a subject matter expert. The Principal Cybersecurity Architect is an internal and client facing consultant for cybersecurity solutions across all clients and prospective clients. Cybersecurity solutions include hardware/software, professional services and managed services that would support our client’s cybersecurity requirements. The Cybersecurity Architect will work closely with Account Managers and Solutions Architects to design, scope and sell these solutions while also providing guidance and escalation for engineering delivery teams on best practice implementation. The role provides presales and post-sales support for designing cybersecurity solutions that include professional services, hardware, software, and managed services. This position requires a unique skill set that balances technical competency, excellent communication skills and business acumen to ensure that solutions are designed on time, on budget, and right the first time. While this role is primarily focused on pre-sales efforts, there could be opportunities for the Principal Cybersecurity Architect to act as a senior escalation role for the engineering delivery team and/or support billable professional services delivery. This role is also responsible for providing guidance on cybersecurity strategies and solutions that the business offers to our clients. This includes maintaining close relationships with key partners, recommending and evaluating the partner landscape within the cybersecurity landscape. What You’ll Be Doing: PRE-SALES Work with Solutions Architects, Sales team members to design quote, scope and sell cybersecurity solutions. Provide internal education and awareness for cybersecurity solutions for Solutions Architects, Sales and engineering delivery teams. Works closely with Solutions Architects and Sales team members to ensure product quotes are accurate based on solution design. Works closely with Solutions Architects to ensure professional services SOWs and managed services are scoped with appropriate detail, accuracy, and level of effort. Works closely with the partner sales and engineering teams to understand product and solution capabilities. Maintains a close watch on industry trends, technologies and partners within the cybersecurity space to be a thought leader for our clients. Maintains a close watch on industry trends, technologies and partners within the cybersecurity space to provide guidance and strategy for the recommended solutions. Maintains vendor certifications as required by the business for various technology partner certification levels. Meets with vendor/partner account managers and engineers, as necessary, to discuss opportunities within key accounts. Participates in partner provided training, conferences and events to strengthen relationships and solution awareness. Liaise with customers to help define their requirements and offer solutions from the company’s portfolio of products Engage in customer pre-sales activities to include presentation and whiteboard sessions as well as providing written work such as RFI responses and Statement of Works Design robust solutions for customers encompassing a wide range of networking technologies and services Deliver onsite presentations and demonstrations of solutions in isolation and alongside representatives from our vendors Deliver consultancy services for customers, understand their requirements and design solutions that deliver value into their environment Manage Helpdesk tickets generated by sales staff in a timely manner Produce Bill of Materials for sales that can be converted into customer quotes Liaise with customers to help define their requirements and offer solutions from the company’s portfolio of products Complete customer presentations and workshops as required Create standard project documentation such as HLD, LLD to allow post sales engineers to deliver projects to our customers COMPANY STRATEGY Become Kubus’ advocate of cyber products and services Provide input to marketing team on website content & marketing collateral Evaluate new vendors, products and services Oversee market and present new solutions to the CTO for possible inclusion in the Kubus portfolio Onboard new technologies and create documentation such as battle cards and sales training TECHNICAL CERTIFICATION Maintain all current and future industry and vendor certifications and ensure they remain active Complete vendor led and self-study learning to complete certifications as required by the business Identify potential training courses that will be of benefit to the individual and the business PROFESSIONAL AND MANAGED SERVICES Attend customer site to deliver solutions and services Ownership of assigned customer projects Define project scope for customer engagements Act as single point of technical contact for service provider related projects Define workflows and manage on site delivery utilising post sales engineers Produce high quality customer documentation What We’re Looking For: Expert level knowledge of secure network and system design considerations which includes SASE, zero trust, DLP, secure endpoint, privileged access, WAF, NAC. Expert level knowledge of risk management and compliance frameworks such as PCI-DSS, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, HIPAA, ISO 27001 and ISO 27002, CIS, DORA, FISMA, GDPR, etc. Expert level knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, tools and processes that impact the design, implementation and support for secure enterprise network delivery and data protection. Expert level knowledge of common risk mitigation techniques and cybersecurity controls Expert level knowledge of offensive cybersecurity practices associated with various cybersecurity assessments such as penetration testing, web application assessment, API assessment, etc. Ample experience designing, implementing, and supporting cybersecurity solutions from technology partners such as Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto, Fortinet, CyberArk, Carbon Black, etc. Desire to act as a strategic cybersecurity thought leader provide clients and prospects with a vision for improving risk management capabilities. Language Skills - Ability to read, analyse and interpret common scientific and technical journals, group financial reports and general legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
