Substance Misuse Service Manager (12 Month FTC)
We have an exciting opportunity for a Substance Misuse Psychosocial Team Leader to join us here at HMP Garth, a high security Category B male prison located in Leyland. HMP Garth has a capacity of around 792, and houses men serving long term and indeterminate sentences.
This is a rare opportunity, created due to internal promotion, where you can lead the Substance Misuse Recovery Team. The service offers a broad and diverse range of treatments to patients suffering from a range of substance misuse issues. This role is being offered on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract. Candidates MUST already hold prison clearance.
Responsibilities
* Manage the Recovery service onsite, including line management responsibility for 8 Recovery Workers, 1 Administrator and 1 Support Worker
* Manage the delivery of a busy and dynamic substance misuse service, providing psychosocial treatment interventions, including assessments, planning, audits and rotas/timetables
* Play a key part within the prison's drug strategy, including attending wider prison meetings
* Provide effective leadership to the SMS team, including supervisions and training
* Manage a smaller caseload if required
* Review and improve the service offered to patients, ensuring that the team are delivering a high quality, safe, effective and efficient service to the patients
Hours & Salary
This is a full time role, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Shifts are 08:30 - 16:30.
Salary: £43,609 - £49,175 per annum.

Qualifications & Experience
* Hold valid prison clearance / vetting
* Previous experience as a Recovery Worker
* Ideally experience within a managerial or team lead post
* Experience of working with individuals who misuse alcohol and substances, with knowledge of the current operating environment within substance misuse
* Excellent knowledge of the requirements to ensure CQC compliance
* A passion for helping patients, and is committed to the growth and development of the service
