Vanguard Manchester, England, United Kingdom is seeking a Corporate Security Specialist to join their Manchester office. You will be part of a supportive team responsible for managing access controls, supporting onboarding and offboarding processes, and contributing to the planning and execution of high-profile events from a security perspective. Location: Manchester, United Kingdom. Working Model: Hybrid 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home, with more required depending on business needs.
What you’ll do
* Conduct thorough daily audits of access cards to ensure ongoing compliance with company policies and maintain accurate records for all personnel.
* Oversee the regional production and timely distribution of access cards, ensuring that all crew members, contractors, and consultants have appropriate credentials.
* Support management in executing termination and suspension processes for staff by promptly updating access rights as required.
* Review, process, and manage requests for physical security access to restricted areas, maintaining strict adherence to established protocols.
* Coordinate onboarding and offboarding procedures for all crew members and contingent workers, ensuring smooth transitions while upholding security standards.
* Arrange secure access for international crew members visiting the region, addressing unique requirements with sensitivity and efficiency.
* Assist in investigating security incidents by gathering relevant information, conducting analysis, and providing thoughtful recommendations for resolution.
* Contribute actively to the planning and execution of internal and external events hosted by Vanguard, ensuring all security considerations are addressed effectively.
* Participate in special projects as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to team objectives.
* Carry out additional duties as needed to support the overall effectiveness of the corporate security function.
What you bring
* Demonstrated experience working within a professional physical security environment where attention to detail is paramount.
* Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and hands-on experience relevant to corporate security functions.
* Proficiency in utilising physical security access control management systems to monitor entry points and authorise personnel movements.
* Experience operating CCTV systems for surveillance purposes within large or complex facilities.
* Ability to coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes efficiently while maintaining strict confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
* Strong organisational skills enabling you to manage multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising accuracy or quality.
* Excellent communication skills that foster positive relationships with colleagues at all levels of the organisation as well as external partners.
* A collaborative approach that supports teamwork while respecting diverse perspectives within an inclusive workplace culture.
