Role Context:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Qualified Actuary to join the IFRS reporting team. The role offers a blended approach of remote work and office presence in Stirling, Edinburgh, or Mumbai.
In this role, you will support the delivery of accurate IFRS results, involving the operation and maintenance of the IFRS17 engine and related architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support IFRS17 results production, including running and maintaining the IFRS17 engine.
2. Produce quarterly IFRS17 results, analyze, and explain movements in liabilities, risk adjustment, and CSM.
3. Support improvements to the IFRS17 reporting process, liaising with IT and other suppliers on developments.
4. Collaborate with Group Reporting and Accounting teams on output related to liability disclosures.
5. Ensure timely results within the designated timetable.
6. Communicate results effectively with stakeholders, including Senior Leadership.
7. Maintain effective relationships with Finance and IT teams.
8. Support other Finance reporting initiatives as needed.
Experience, Skills, and Knowledge:
1. Qualified actuary with post-qualification experience.
2. Experience with IFRS17 reporting requirements.
3. Knowledge of insurance products and systems.
4. Experience in producing and delivering financial reports within a life insurance organization.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a commercial mindset and the ability to simplify complex ideas.
6. Effective communication skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
