At Randstad, we are seeing an empathetic SEN teaching assistant ready to extend support to children with special needs. You will be supporting children aged between 9-16 in a specialist school based in the Harrogate, HG3 area. This is a full time position from Monday through Friday (8:30AM - 3:30PM).

1. Create an engaging and interactive learning environment.
2. Capable of supporting learning in 1:1 and small group settings.
3. Effectively communicate and collaborate with the class teacher.
4. Demonstrate patience, empathy, and strong communication when working with children.
5. Adjust teaching approaches to accommodate various learning styles and individual needs.
6. Possess knowledge of behaviour management techniques to foster positive behaviour.
Requirements:
7. The assurance to assess educational requirements and actively explore innovative teaching approaches.
8. Readiness and capacity to adjust to evolving situations.
9. The capability to offer personalised attention, assurance, and aid with educational tasks.
10. A solid comprehension of child development and the learning process.
11. Possession of an enhanced DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one.
12. Proficiency in the national Key Stage Curriculum.
13. Eligibility to work in the UK (Sponsorship not provided).
