An exciting 12 month secondment opportunity has arisen in EPUT and we are looking to recruit a Matron – South West Urgent Care Pathway (HTT, MHLT, CRS) Crisis House & Sanctuaries.
The successful candidate will be a competent practitioner with a proven record of leadership skills as a Band 7 nurse. The Matron is responsible for providing senior clinical leadership and advice within the Urgent Care Pathway. As a specialist practitioner the role requires the post holder to provide senior clinical leadership and day‑to‑day coordination of clinical practice to support the effective delivery of care across the Urgent Care Pathway.
The post holder will be responsible for the management of a clinical area, providing leadership, supporting staff and working collaboratively with consultants, psychiatrists, doctors, allied health professionals and social work practitioners to provide and deliver high quality and safe care.
Responsibilities
* Lead and ensure collaborative working by coordinating and leading the support, referral and effective liaison with all professionals, agencies and other parties involved in service user support to deliver the crisis support package as part of the urgent care pathway, including community and primary care.
* Ensure safe clinical practice takes place and is maintained to Care Quality Commission standards at all times and in line with the NHS Constitution.
* Work in conjunction with the whole crisis care pathway to ensure that patients are supported in the most appropriate clinical practice environment from a multi‑disciplinary perspective.
* Manage and deliver effective and safe services that support the key elements of clinical/practice governance. Focus on leading the teams to introduce ways of continuously improving the quality of services and safeguarding high standards of care by creating an environment in which excellence will flourish.
Qualifications
* Band 7 nursing registration.
* Proven experience of senior clinical leadership and multidisciplinary team management.
* Experience within urgent care or crisis care pathways is desirable.
