Job Opportunity
The Hospital Link Worker will provide support for people in hospital who are using drugs or alcohol and who want to engage in treatment. You will:
* Form links with the hospital to ensure continuity of care
* Establish and maintain a quality hospital liaison service
* Develop inpatient and outpatient services for those with substance-related issues
* Liaise between hospitals, community pharmacies, safeguarding teams, inpatient and community mental health teams, and accident & emergency services to provide early interventions for those with drug or alcohol-related health concerns
* Collaborate with core WithYou teams, including our Clinical Lead
This is an integral role for With You. As a frontline worker, you will deliver continuity of care through effective partnership working, care coordination, delivery of interventions, and key responsibilities. This is a full-time, fixed-term position working 37.5 hours per week until 31/03/2026. Some Saturday work is required on a rota basis. The salary ranges from £23,821 to £26,500 per annum.
Essential Skills
We’re looking for a compassionate and motivated individual with an exceptional ability to build meaningful relationships. You should have demonstrable experience working within health, social care, criminal justice, or other specialist settings, or a clear motivation for wanting to work in the drug and alcohol sector. A successful track record of providing efficient and reliable customer service is essential. You should also be organized with excellent time management skills.
