Rate: £375 per day (LTD or CIS)

About the Role
A leading Tier 1 contractor is seeking an experienced Sub Agent to support delivery of a major high street regeneration scheme in Eastbourne. This is a long-term freelance opportunity for a proactive and technically strong individual who thrives in a site-based environment and is confident managing packages from inception through to completion.
The role will involve taking ownership of key elements of the works, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery in line with programme and commercial targets.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing and coordinating subcontractors and direct workforce on site
* Supporting the Agent / Project Manager with programme delivery and reporting
* Ensuring works are delivered safely and in accordance with company procedures
* Reviewing and implementing RAMS and ensuring compliance on site
* Monitoring progress against programme and driving productivity
* Liaising with stakeholders including local authorities, utilities, and the public
* Managing quality assurance processes and documentation
* Assisting with cost control, variations, and record keeping
* Producing short-term programmes and lookahead plans
Requirements
* Proven experience working as a Sub Agent on highways, public realm, or infrastructure projects
* Strong understanding of NEC contracts
* SMSTS
* CSCS (Black or Gold card preferred)
* First Aid at Work
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to manage multiple work fronts in a live public environment
