Rainhill High School is an 11-18 Mixed Comprehensive with 1534 pupils on it's roll.
Rainhill High School are seeking an exceptional leader to join our Senior Leadership Team as Vice Principal with responsibility for the Quality of Education to start in January 2026.
This is a full time key strategic role where you will champion curriculum ambition and inclusivity at Rainhill High School. You will be accountable for teaching, learning and outcomes, ensuring every pupil – regardless of background – achieves their full potential.
As Vice Principal, you will:
1. Be accountable for the quality, ambition and inclusivity of the curriculum across KS3–5, ensuring all students can succeed.
2. Lead the development of high-quality teaching, learning and assessment, rooted in research and best practice.
3. Oversee Quality Assurance systems that drive continuous improvement in standards and outcomes.
4. Ensure that progress and attainment are strong for all learners, including disadvantaged students and those with SEND.
5. Lead on literacy, numeracy and reading, ensuring every student has the skills needed to access the full curriculum.
6. Manage the delivery of external examinations (11–19) and ensure pathways and transition arrangements prepare students for their next stage.
7. Deputise for the Principal when required, contributing fully to the leadership and strategic direction of the school and Trust.
