We have an opportunity to join our experienced and established team of Clinical Psychologists within our multidisciplinary Community CAMHS Team.
You will have be qualified and registered as a Clinical Psychologist. You will also have experience of working with children and young people, preferably within a community CAMHS service.
Weston-super-Mare and Clevedon are thriving seaside towns within easy commuting distance to Bristol and Taunton. The M5 motorway is within easy access. Weston-super-Mare is a growing multi-cultural area with numerous amenities and has access to the beautiful coastline and also the Mendip Hills. The area is ideal for those who like an active outside lifestyle but also who want to be within each reach of Bristol and Taunton. There are a number of outstanding Ofsted rated schools within the area.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be offering consultation, assessment and treatment to young people with mental and emotional health difficulties alongside their families The team have a senior psychologist who will support your professional development. There are other professionals with a variety of skills and knowledge from a diverse range of backgrounds. You should be passionate about working within a multi professional team in order to meet he needs of young people.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To provide a clinical psychology service to the specified Team/Service
• To assess and treat a specialist workload of clients and maintain associated
records
• Participate in CPD and other developmental activities
• Undertake R & D and clinical audit
• Clinically supervise Assistant Psychologists, other professionals and trainee Clinical Psychologists

Qualification
Essential criteria
* Doctoral clinical Psychology qualification or equivalent
* Maintenance of appropriate professional registration (HCPC)
Experience
Essential criteria
* Post qualification of delivering evidence based therapies to young people and families in CAMHS
* Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team and ability to contribute to team meetings and processes.
Desirable criteria
* Experience of providing specialist assessments/interventions eg Autism assessments (ADOS), Eating Disorders or specialist CBT
Skills
Essential criteria
* Ability to work with children, young people and families from a wide range of social, cultural and minority ethnic backgrounds.
* Ability to work autonomously, and organise and prioritise workload
* .Experience of assessing and managing young people who are suicidal and young people who present a risk to self and others
Desirable criteria
* Experience of Clinical supervision/consultation - junior colleagues or other staff
