Mission for Housekeeper
To ensure that our properties are maintained and presented to the highest standard possible. Guests entering a property should always feel like they are the first to have ever stayed at the property. Also, make sure that each guest has a comfortable and enjoyable stay and that their needs are met in the best possible way – going above and beyond what is expected of us.
Outcomes
• Conduct a check-out inspection
• Report any issues detected
• Accurately estimate cleaning hours – obtain required information from property management system
• Ensure supplies are available as necessary
• Ensure all rooms are clean, tidy, and fully furnished to accommodate guests’ needs
• Provide basic housekeeping duties including replacing linens, changing and arranging towels, emptying trash, restocking toilet supplies, vacuuming, dusting, and rearranging the room after guests check out
• Clean rooms and public areas, including vacuuming, dusting, picking up larger objects off the floor, cleaning glass and windows, spot cleaning partition doors and walls, sweeping and mopping floors, and cleaning toilets
• Transport dirty linens to the correct area to be cleaned and restock areas with clean linens
• Clean communal areas as required, collaborating closely with the Property Manager and Maintenance Personnel
• Ensure gardens look tidy and clean at all times
• Ensure paved areas/slabs are weed-free at all times
• Ensure the security of the building and guests
• Actively detect guests’ needs and resolve them
• Serve guests by any means of communication they require
• Ensure smooth check-in and check-out processes
• Maintain updated records of bookings and payments in our Property Management System
• Deal with special requests from guests
• Respond to guests’ complaints in a timely and professional manner and contact necessary staff to resolve issues
• Keep track of recurring issues and communicate them to the Operations Manager or housekeeping staff
• Oversee maintenance and repairs in individual rooms and common areas
• Place supply orders when necessary
• Set up the restaurant for breakfast
• Prepare and serve healthy breakfast and afternoon tea
• Ensure all rooms are clean, tidy, and fully furnished to meet guests’ needs
• Liaise with housekeeping staff to ensure basic housekeeping duties are performed, including replacing linens, changing and arranging towels, emptying trash, restocking toilet supplies, cleaning toilets, vacuuming, dusting, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning glass and windows, and rearranging rooms after check-out
• Ensure dirty linens are transported to the correct area for cleaning and restock areas with clean linens
