As our business aims to deliver its ambitious growth strategy, we are looking for a Regional Counsel to join our EMEA Legal team. This role is responsible for advising our businesses in the UK (Croda’s Global HQ), Sweden, and the Netherlands on a broad range of commercial and compliance topics.
Please note, this role will cover a 14-month period of maternity leave.
Who We’re Looking For:

* 6+ years PQE
* Experience gained in either private practice or in-house roles providing pragmatic and business-friendly advice
* Chemical or manufacturing experience is helpful but not essential
* Experience working in a dynamic and challenging legal environment supporting business priorities
* Exposure to supply agreements, collaboration agreements & licenses, SaaS contracts, and data protection would be advantageous
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Providing advice on a broad range of legal and compliance issues, mainly commercial agreements, collaboration agreements, licenses, IT SaaS agreements, and compliance issues. Advising on disputes and litigation when needed.
* Identifying areas of risk and liability and providing solutions to minimise or eliminate them.
* Working closely with senior contacts within the business and instructing external professional service providers.
* Making complex decisions with high accountability and responsibility.
* Managing instructions to external Legal Counsel and supervising external lawyers, including in litigation and disputes.
* Supporting the implementation and monitoring of Croda’s Code of Ethics, Code of Conduct, and related policies.
* Ensuring appropriate compliance programmes are in place across the region, supported by training programmes.
