The pay range for this role will be £28,142 - £31,537 from 1st December 2025.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced and skilled Caretaker to come and join our friendly Premises Team responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of our growing school. This is a permanent, full-time post based initially at our Linwood Campus on Alma Road, Winton.
Linwood School is an 'Outstanding' (Ofsted January 2025) multi-campus, day special school for children and young people aged 3 – 19. Our students have a wide range of special educational needs including moderate (MLD), severe (SLD) and profound (PMLD) and complex learning difficulties (CLDD) and those on the Autism spectrum. We offer a variety of curriculum pathways to meet those needs and ensure that all our pupils achieve the best possible outcomes. It is essential that our students have a safe, calm and welcoming environment in which to learn.
The successful candidate will work a maximum of 37 hours per week which will be worked between 7:30am and 6pm. There will be an expectation to work a variety of shifts within these hours to cover the opening and closing of school campuses which will be assigned on a rota basis.

* Team player, but able and willing to use your own initiative.
* Able to work at any of our campuses.
* Basic ICT skills to be able to log and record accidents/incidents or safeguarding concerns as well as log all compliance matters, meter readings and safety checks.
