The role focuses on studying the molecular mechanisms of human replisome assembly, funded by a Wellcome Trust Discovery Award. The project aims to understand the structural and mechanistic basis of this process using biochemical reconstitution with yeast and human proteins and structural biology, primarily cryo-EM.
Responsibilities
* Conduct research to discover the molecular mechanisms of yeast and human replisome assembly.
* Identify, develop and apply a broad range of techniques to pursue research objectives.
* Present scientific work at lab seminars and external meetings.
* Contribute to laboratory-wide discussions on developments within the field.
* Draft scientific papers and contribute to overall preparation for publication.
* Support LMB’s mission in public engagement of science and translation of research findings into healthcare improvements.
