🏡Office based in West London, 2 days a week in office
My client is hiring for a Software Engineer (Full Stack) to join a product-led start-up building institution-driven health and wellbeing technology used across hospitality today and expanding into education and healthcare.
This Software Engineer role sits at the centre of a small, early-stage product team. You’ll have ownership across end-to-end product development, working closely with other Software Engineers to turn real user needs into shipped features. This is a start-up environment where product and engineering are tightly coupled, and engineers directly shape what gets built.
If you are a Software Engineer who enjoys building product rather than internal tooling, taking responsibility for outcomes, and shipping improvements that users actually feel, this role offers genuine ownership and influence.
Key Responsibilities
* Build and ship product features as a Software Engineer working across the full stack
* Own user-facing functionality from frontend experience through to backend services
* Collaborate closely with other Software Engineers to design, iterate, and deliver product changes
* Develop APIs and backend services using TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS and ReactJS
* Contribute to a growing Rust codebase that powers core product functionality
* Help evolve a product built around structured programmes, journeys, and personalised experiences
Requirements
* 3–6 years’ experience as a Software Engineer or Full-Stack Software Engineer
* Strong experience building product-focused web applications, not just services or internal systems
* Full-stack experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and modern frontend frameworks like React and Nest
* Comfortable working in start-up or early-stage product teams with high ownership
* A builder mindset: hands-on, pragmatic, and motivated by shipping user-facing features
Nice to have (not essential):
* Experience with Rust or another compiled language (e.g. Go)
* Exposure to recommendation systems, state management, or personalised product flows
Compensation & Working Setup
* Hybrid working: 2–3 days per week in a West London office
* Small, product-driven start-up team with direct ownership and fast feedback loops
If you are a Software Engineer looking for a product-focused start-up role, real ownership over what gets built, and the chance to work on a platform moving into education and healthcare at scale, this is a strong opportunity.
