The role We’re looking for an experienced Neighbourhood Manager to provide hands-on estate and housing management support during a period of change within the team. This is a fast-paced role suited to someone who can hit the ground running, manage competing priorities, and confidently deal with day-to-day neighbourhood challenges. You’ll be a visible presence on estates, acting as the main point of contact for residents, partners and internal teams, while ensuring homes are safe, compliant and well-managed. Location: Hybrid, London (office based near Westminster Bridge, with regular estate visits) Contract: Temporary - Initially Pay: £21.86 per hour PAYE (equivalent to £40,921 per annum) Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality neighbourhood and estate management services Act as the local, face-to-face point of contact for residents Manage tenancy issues including successions, viewings and compliance matters Carry out inspections and ensure properties and estates meet required standards Resolve resident queries efficiently, aiming for “right first time” outcomes Identify and support vulnerable residents, escalating safeguarding concerns where appropriate Work closely with specialist teams (ASB, legal, income, resident support, estate services) Maintain accurate records across digital housing management systems Represent the organisation positively within the community and at local meetings Support wider community engagement and resident involvement initiatives About you You’ll be someone who is confident working independently, comfortable making decisions, and experienced in managing estates within a housing environment. Essential experience: Proven experience in a Neighbourhood Manager or Estate Manager role Strong understanding of housing and estate management processes Confident using digital housing systems and carrying out inspections Ability to manage a varied workload and work under pressure Desirable: Knowledge of UK housing law Housing qualification (e.g. CIOH) Experience working with diverse communities Additional community language skills
