Highview Children's Services is a residential children's home provider that provides care and support to children and young people between the ages of eight and seventeen. Our homes accommodate children and young people who have suffered significant trauma and as a result, require support with their social, emotional, mental health and complex behavioural needs.
We aim to consistently provide the highest standards of individual and personalised care for all children and young people that come to live in our homes. This is achieved through an ethos of high aspiration, placement stability from our 'team around the child' approach, and our inspiring environment. As a support worker, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of the children we care for and support.
Our service operates 24/7, 365 days of the year, therefore you will be required to work an average of 40 hours per week of 173 hours per month, encompassing 16 hour shifts on a rolling 2 on 4 off shift pattern, starting at 07:00 and finishing at 23:00, with a requirement to sometimes sleep in, averaging 5 per month (this may at times be more or less), paid at £50 per night. Occasional overtime will be available with rotas prepared in advance. There is an additional 'At-Call' facility where staff are paid an additional retainer of £35 to be available for a period of 24 hours, should the home require extra support to cover.
There is also an opportunity to attain a fully funded Level 3 Diploma qualification in Children & young People (Residential). This is subject to the companies training agreement.
Annual leave will equivalate to 28 days or 224 hours per annual year.
We are seeking individuals who are compassionate, reliable, and dedicated to providing exceptional residential childcare. If you have a passion for helping others and possess the necessary skills, we would love to hear from you.
