Shape the future of clean energy financing. We’re looking for a commercially driven Senior Business Development Manager to join our Clean Tech Finance team. This is a high‑impact role focused on originating and delivering innovative asset finance solutions across a diverse clean technology landscape. You’ll lead the development of new business opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and structure complex funding arrangements that enable the growth of sustainable infrastructure across the UK.
What you’ll be doing
* Drive new business growth across a range of clean technologies
* Identify, engage, and win new clients and strategic partners
* Build and manage a strong pipeline of short, medium, and long‑term opportunities
* Lead deals end‑to‑end—from origination through to execution and contract management
* Structure full, limited, and non‑recourse financing solutions
* Prepare and present detailed credit proposals and financial models
* Lead commercial negotiations with customers, advisors, and stakeholders
* Collaborate closely with internal teams including Credit, Legal and Asset Management
* Use market insight to shape strategy and strengthen the value proposition
You’re excited to build upon your existing expertise, including:
* Proven track record in business development within asset finance
* Strong experience structuring complex funding solutions
* Knowledge of clean technologies (e.g. solar PV, wind, CHP, EV infrastructure, energy efficiency solutions)
* Ability to build and stress‑test financial models
* Commercial mindset with strong negotiation and influencing skills
* Confidence presenting complex ideas clearly and concisely
* Strong stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills
