Who is Senior Aerospace Weston?
Senior Aerospace Weston, located in Lancashire, England, is a leading supplier of a wide range of complex precision machined components, and sub- assemblies for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs’) predominantly in the commercial aviation market sector. Our experience and core capabilities support multiple segments of an aircraft’s build, including the manufacture of engine compressor and fan components, engine pylon mounting brackets, pintles, wing ribs and associated aero-structure components. We aim to support our customers with a complete solution, including supply chain management and delivery of line-side kits where appropriate.
What will my responsibilities include?
1. Observe machine operation to verify accuracy of machine settings and to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers.
2. Loading raw materials (workpieces) onto the lathe and unload finished parts after machining.
3. Proper handling and identification of tooling, collets, and fixtures are essential.
4. Change the tooling of the CNC machine.
5. Editing using Fanuc Controls
6. First line daily maintenance & 5 ‘S’
7. First line inspection
8. Operating lifting equipment
9. Adjust machine control, including part process.
10. Maintain accurate data/records/documentation associated with your work.
11. Ensure compliance with quality standards, policies and procedures, codes, and legislation including health and safety.
What key skills, experience and qualifications should I have?
12. Must demonstrate ability to operate 3,4 and 5 axis CNC lathes, mills and turning
13. Candidate must be computer literate with knowledge of applications related to machining
14. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
15. Ability to use measuring equipment for quality control checks.
16. Strong manual skills.
17. Reliability, precision and attention to detail.
18. Ability to work with minimal supervision and to follow instructions.
