As a Bank Staff Nurse on the Elective Surgical Ward at our Leicester Hospital, you’ll drive the standard in patient care. You’re registered with the appropriate governing body, plus you bring the qualifications and experience that are relevant to your registration, including NMC. You also have post-registration experience.
As a Bank Ward Staff Nurse, you will:
1. Be flexible, motivated, an excellent communicator and team worker
2. Join a close-knit team headed by our matron on our consultant-led ward
3. Fully understand and pay close attention to each patient’s needs
4. Work directly with some of the best clinical talent around
5. Gain valuable experience of new practices, equipment and facilities
6. Collaborate with practitioners across other departments to ensure continuity in patient care

Founded in 1969, Nuffield Health Leicester Hospital was originally built from funds raised by the local community and is now one of the leading providers of private healthcare in Leicestershire. The Hospital has 28 ensuite inpatient beds, 2 Laminar flow theatres, Endoscopy Suite, minor treatment room and 14 consulting rooms. Since 2015 we have invested in a static MRI unit, a new digital X ray room & digital mammography. We are a local centre of excellence for Children and Young People Services. Having a Fitness & Wellbeing Gym in Leicester has led to a close working relationship and the Hospital was a forerunner for the Nuffield recovery plus programme.
The Hospital has been rated as a ‘Good’ hospital by the CQC and achieved this rating across the 5 key lines of enquiry across all departments inspected.
