Overview
Dukinfield Golf Club is seeking and experienced, highly motivated Clubhouse Manager to oversee the smooth and efficient running of clubhouse operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering an exceptional experience for members, guests, and visitors while ensuring all activities are safe, legal, and financially sound.
This role encompasses leadership in functions and Events, Food and Beverage, Sales and Marketing, and Health and Safety

Nestled in the picturesque hills of the Pennines, Dukinfield Golf Club is a well-established and popular venue in the Tameside/Greater Manchester area.
Featuring a challenging 18-hole parkland course with panoramic views of Cheshire, Manchester, and the Welsh mountains. the dub has been a vibrant members' institution since 1913.
Alongside golf, we offer hospitality to the local community, hosting weddings, private events, and other functions - with ambitions to further grow this side of the business.
We are looking for a dynamic and driven individual to help us achieve these goals.
Reporting Line: Reports directly to the Senior Management Team.
Key Responsibilities
OPERATIONS
* Deliver consistently high levels of customer service to members and guests.
* Work closely with the Senior Management Team to align operational priorities.
* Implement effective rota management to balance service quality with budget constraints.
* Maintain accurate records of sales, expenditure, and operational activities.
* Collaborate with the Bar Manager to ensure adequate stock levels and ordering processes.
* Take full ownership of event planning and execution, ensuring teams are well-briefed.
* Propose menus for the clubhouse and events for Senior Management approval.
* Be present at key dub events (e.g., Captain's Day, President's Day, Lady Captain's Day, Annual Dinner).
* Review and renegotiate supplier contracts (brewery, insurance, utilities, Sky, etc.), submitting recommendations to Senior Management.
* Ensure the clubhouse is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
* Oversee clubhouse security and ensure the safety of all patrons.
* Manage and respond to member and guest feedback professionally.
* Ensure compliance with all dub policies and health & safety requirements
SALES AND MARKETING
* Manage and develop the club's social media presence.
* Promote dub functions, external events, golf competitions, and society bookings through appropriate channels.
* Drive external revenue growth from functions and events.
* Ensure functions are well-managed and profitable.
* Present pricing proposals to the Senior Management Team for approval.
* Lead initiatives to grow sales through strategic marketing.
HUMAN RESOURCES & STAFF WELFARE
* Oversee the welfare, motivation. and performance of clubhouse staff.
* Ensure a safe, compliant. and supportive working environment
* Lead recruitment induction, training, and ongoing staff development.
* Maintain and enforce dress code standards.
* Hold regular staff meetings to review performance, upcoming events, and policies.
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
* Oversee daily and weekly cashing-up procedures, working with the Administrator.
* Manage cash handling, floats, and reconciliation processes.
* Maintain financial records for sales and expenditure.
* Recommend menu pricing for Senior Management approval.
Essential Skills and Attributes
* Proven leadership and people management skills.
* Hands-on, flexible approach to work.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Experience in business development and revenue growth.
* Excellent IT Skills (MS Office, Club V1, social media platforms).
* Understanding of golf club culture, traditions, and member exceptions.
•Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
