Job Title: Primary School Teaching Assistant
Location: Bridgwater & or surrounding area
Salary: £13.80 p/h - increased if experienced or qualified
Contract Type: Full-time & Part-time available
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our primary team. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to support learning across the curriculum and help create a positive and engaging classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support pupils’ learning in the classroom, individually and in small groups
2. Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
3. Provide targeted support for pupils with additional needs (including SEND, where applicable)
4. Encourage positive behaviour and promote inclusion
5. Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing and personal development
6. Assist with playground supervision and school activities when required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
7. Experience working with primary-aged children (desirable but not essential)
8. A positive, patient, and caring attitude
9. Good communication and teamwork skills
10. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
11. Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification – desirable)
