Job overview


The post holder will work as an integral part of the respiratory team to provide clinical expertise, specialist advice, and support for patients with a wide range of lung conditions.

The post holder will be required to have a general respiratory knowledge with the ability to adapt to the needs of the service.

The post will be predominantly outpatient based and will:

· Provide highly specialised assessment, treatment and care within the outpatient setting to those patients with chronic and acute respiratory conditions using advanced clinical knowledge that is evidence-based.

· Will function independently or within the clinical team and will demonstrate competency complementary to the consultant's role in the delivery of healthcare.

· Will provide a high level of professional autonomy, expert advice and support, ensuring the needs of the patients are met by leading, challenging, and changing practice within the clinical setting.
