About Our Opportunity
Opportunity for a Group Financial Accountant to join our Group Finance team, supporting the delivery of accurate, timely and insightful financial reporting across the business.
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this role offers exposure to all aspects of Group Finance activity, including consolidated reporting, statutory accounts, budgeting, forecasting, audit and financial control improvement. Working closely with UK and overseas finance teams, you’ll play a key role in ensuring reporting quality, improving processes and supporting strong financial governance across the Group.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant looking to broaden their experience within a large, complex and internationally operating business.
What You Will Be Doing
In this role, you’ll support the preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts and Group reporting packs, ensuring outputs are accurate, timely and provide clear insight into business performance.
You’ll work closely with UK and overseas finance teams to support reporting consistency, resolve queries and improve financial understanding across the Group. You’ll also support lender reporting requirements, including covenant calculations, and assist with the preparation of statutory accounts for both UK and overseas entities.
Alongside this, you’ll play a key role in the annual audit process, budgeting and forecasting activities, and wider financial control improvement initiatives. You’ll maintain lease reporting information required for accounting adjustments and support a variety of Group-level projects across areas such as tax, treasury, risk and compliance.
A key part of the role will involve identifying opportunities to improve reporting quality, efficiency and consistency across the finance function, including the use of automation and technology to streamline processes.
About You
You’re a qualified/newly accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong technical accounting knowledge and experience in financial reporting, audit, consolidation or statutory accounts preparation.
You’re analytically strong, highly organised and comfortable managing deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and take pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work.
You bring a proactive and continuous improvement mindset, with a genuine curiosity to learn, improve processes and broaden your experience across Group Finance activities. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, reporting systems or process automation would be advantageous.
Above all, you’re collaborative, adaptable and motivated by the opportunity to contribute to a growing international finance function.
