Location: Tresham College – Corby Campus
Salary/Benefits: Salary is between £25,585 and £30,915 per annum DOE and Qualifications, 27 days annual leave plus Bank holidays, People’s Pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.
Hours/Weeks: 37 hours per week – 52 weeks per year

About the role:
We are currently seeking an Admissions Advisor to join our Customer Contact and Admissions department at The Bedford College Group.
As an Admissions Advisor, you play an important role in the success of our students through:
1. Application & Admissions Management – Process applications from enquiry to enrolment, ensuring compliance with policies, accurate decision‑making on offers and eligibility, and proactive follow‑up to maximise conversion and retention.
2. Customer‑Focused Information, Advice & Guidance– Provide accurate, impartial course and funding advice across phone, email and face‑to‑face channels, resolving complex enquiries and supporting applicants through every step of the journey.
3. Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication – Act as the main contact for designated curriculum areas, attend meetings, coordinate applicant interviews and events, and maintain strong two‑way communication with teaching and support teams.
4. Data Accuracy, Systems Management & Compliance – Maintain high‑quality CRM and student records, ensure all interactions are logged, correct data errors, and uphold GDPR, safeguarding, EDI and customer service standards.
5. Events, Engagement & Continuous Improvement – Support welcome events, open days and enrolment activities, contribute to updating knowledge resources and processes, act flexibly across campuses and help optimise the overall student recruitment experience.
About you:
6. Qualifications & Professional Development – Educated to Level 3 with GCSE‑level English and Maths, evidence of ongoing CPD, and willingness to work toward a Level 4 Information, Advice & Guidance qualification.
7. Administrative, Customer Service & Confidentiality Experience – Strong background in administration within busy, customer‑facing environments, experienced in meeting deadlines, handling confidential/GDPR‑sensitive information and supporting diverse groups.
8. Communication, Interpersonal & IT Skills – Excellent written and verbal communication (including high‑level English grammar), strong interpersonal skills, confident across IT systems and quick to learn new processes and software.
9. Organisation, Analysis & Professional Standards – Highly organised with strong attention to detail, able to analyse data, work under pressure, collaborate effectively and represent the College professionally at all times.
10. Flexibility, Safeguarding & Commitment to Values – Self‑motivated, enthusiastic and adaptable, able to travel across campuses, work evenings/weekends when needed and uphold safeguarding responsibilities and appropriate professional boundaries.
