Registered Children's Nurse

Our newly designed Children's Emergency Department is purpose-built to provide exceptional care, featuring 2 paediatric resuscitation bays, 6 major treatment spaces, and a 10-bed Children's Assessment and Decision Unit. In addition, we have a 20-bed acute children's ward, a dedicated day services unit, and a wide range of community-based children's services.

Main duties of the job
You will provide comprehensive care for a designated group of patients within the unit by identifying, assessing, planning, implementing, and regularly evaluating their needs in collaboration with the child and their family.
The person successful in this role will deliver the highest quality of care that addresses the physical, emotional, spiritual, and social well-being of each child and their family, supporting their journey toward optimal health.
The post holder will respect and honour the customs, values, and spiritual beliefs of children and their families at all times.
You will foster a supportive environment that meets the psychosocial and developmental needs of children and young people, including access to play, recreational activities, and educational resources. You will ensure tailored support is available for those with special needs.
The successful candidate will maintain a courteous and helpful demeanour toward all patients and visitors within the ward or department.
You will also commit to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people at all times.

Qualifications / Training
* Registered Nurse on part 1, part 2 or part 12 of the NMC register
* Commitment to lifelong learning
* Evidence of further education, training and on-going learning

* Evidence of Assessing and Mentorship qualification
* Evidence of appropriate Specialist Qualification
