Avatar Care Group has been providing general nursing care for our residents since 2003. Our homes operate under our ethos 'Care, Quality & Compassion' which is at the heart of everything we do.

Sellywood House Nursing Home is seeking an organised and compassionate Care Home Administrator to manage the day- to- day administrative operations, supporting the Home Manager in running services efficiently and providing excellent service for residents, their families and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage administrative systems and processes to support smooth daily operations.
* Plan, prioritise, and organise a varied workload using independent judgement.
* Draft correspondence and handle highly confidential and sensitive information.
* Maintain accurate financial records and prepare reports to assist management decisions.
* Manage the Time & Attendance system, process rotas, and manage HR information accurately.
* Maintain accurate resident files, admission and discharge paperwork, and regulatory compliance records.
* Ensure resident wellbeing remains the top priority in all administrative tasks.
* Respond to enquiries from prospective residents and their families, providing information and support as required.
* Support staff recruitment, onboarding, and training in collaboration with management.
* Strong communication skills and an excellent telephone manner are essential.

Qualifications and Requirements:

* Previous experience in healthcare administration, office management, or a similar role (care home experience preferred).
* Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
* Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office software.
* Knowledge of healthcare compliance and regulations would be an advantage.
* A compassionate, empathetic and resident-centred mindset.
* Satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
