Join us as a Volunteer Trustee at Supported Activities Programme (SAP) and help support our charity's work for individuals with learning disabilities and/or autism, providing access to social and leisure opportunities.
About SAP
SAP offers members opportunities to build friendships, foster a sense of belonging, and reduce loneliness. We promote self-esteem, confidence, and social skills through meaningful activities in a supportive environment.
What We're Looking For
We seek committed and enthusiastic individuals to join our board. Prior experience with learning disabilities or autism is not required, but a willingness to understand our members' needs is essential. Skills in governance, marketing, finance, or fundraising are desirable, along with the ability to facilitate focused meetings and work collaboratively. A commitment to equality of opportunity is necessary.
Role Responsibilities
As a trustee, you will support our existing board, which includes four trustees, and help improve governance. Roles available include secretary, safeguarding, finance, administration, and marketing.
