Role Overview:
We are looking for a passionate and reliable Chef de Partie to join our friendly kitchen team. You will work under the guidance of our Head Chef to maintain high culinary standards, contribute creative ideas, and ensure a smooth day-to-day service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and present dishes to the highest standard across your section.
* Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workspace in line with food hygiene standards.
* Assist in stock control, rotation, and waste minimisation.
* Train and mentor junior team members when required.
* Take initiative in developing menu ideas and seasonal specials.
* Ensure consistent quality and portion control in all dishes.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a busy kitchen environment, ideally in a gastropub or similar.
* A passion for fresh food, traditional British cuisine, and seasonal cooking.
* Strong organisational and time-management skills.
* Ability to work calmly under pressure and as part of a tight-knit team.
* Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred).
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
