Recent success has resulted in developing the next generation of Advanced High Performance, Safety Critical Mission Computer Systems to meet the needs of latest platforms in development by several aircraft manufacturers. These systems integrate aircraft, sensor, and weapon systems with information and control systems to meet operational needs.
Job Description
As a Project Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring a comprehensive approach is taken in the development and management of Systems, Equipment, People, and Processes. This includes eliciting requirements from customers, overcoming engineering challenges, and focusing on maintaining and improving system performance and delivery.
You will deliver the Engineering Scope of work on one or more avionic development projects, ensuring project requirements are met within cost and schedule constraints through detailed planning and monitoring.
Daily, you will provide direction, guidance, and support to the development team, ensuring they understand the programme. You will be the primary engineering contact for customers, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with:
* Previous experience as a Project Lead Engineer or Domain Lead Engineer (Systems, Hardware, Software)
* A good understanding of multi-disciplinary project delivery
* Knowledge of challenges in Avionic System Engineering, such as operating environments
* Professional registration as a Chartered Engineer (CEng or equivalent) is desirable but not essential; we support employees in attaining CEng status.
Additional Information
The starting salary ranges from £50,560 to £64,000 plus flexible benefits.
This hybrid role involves working in Hastings (ideally 3 days a week) and from home.
