NHS Forth Valley is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Freedom of Information Manager to lead its Freedom of Information team. We want a great communicator who is passionate about supporting information rights, law and practice. In this role, you will assume operational responsibility for leading, promoting and maintaining compliance with freedom of information laws across all of NHS Forth Valley, and on behalf of two Integration Joint Boards.
You will be part of the Information Governance Unit, based in our corporate offices in Stirling, but will also work regularly and extensively with colleagues and departments across the organisation to ensure NHS Forth Valley complies with its statutory obligations. You will provide both proactive and reactive professional support and guidance to all levels of the organisation, and be responsible for driving best practice in this area, including developing approaches to proactive publication.
We are looking for someone with relevant professional experience and a detailed understanding of applying access to information laws in practice. We particularly want to hear from you if you have experience of leading a team responding to statutory information requests. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, critical analysis, and influencing skills will also be essential.
