About The Role
In your role as a Housekeeping Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It influences every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every team member understands that our residents are individuals with their own stories, just like them. Joining HC-One provides a wonderful opportunity to give back to these individuals.
Your responsibilities as a Housekeeping Assistant will include maintaining a clean, hygienic, safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment, demonstrating your attention to detail. Whether managing the cleaning rota or actively participating in cleaning tasks, you will do so with kindness and professionalism.
We are looking for a Housekeeping Assistant with some experience, though we will provide comprehensive training. Excellent time management and organizational skills are essential. Your positive energy, ability to get along with others, and strong communication skills—both listening and instructing—are highly valued. Always communicate considerately and kindly with residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know the appropriate actions to take. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and undertake additional related training. You should be able to seek advice and report concerns, escalating issues when necessary.
We offer full training and a variety of benefits to support your well-being and career development, including:
* Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG
* Free uniform
* Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications
* Company pension scheme
* 28 days annual leave including bank holidays
* Group life assurance
* Wagestream for financial wellbeing and flexible pay access
* Learning and development opportunities with support for qualifications
* GP online service for 24/7 virtual consultations, available to you and your children under 16
