Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our retail team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional service to customers, promoting products, and ensuring an organised and welcoming shopping environment. Fluency in multiple languages, including English and Spanish, is highly desirable to assist a diverse customer base. Responsibilities
* Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner to understand their needs and provide suitable product recommendations
* Assist customers with product selection, upselling additional items to maximise sales opportunities
* Maintain visual merchandising standards to ensure attractive product displays that encourage sales
* Handle customer enquiries via phone and in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
* Manage stock levels, organise inventory, and ensure the sales floor remains tidy and well-presented
* Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system, including cash handling and card payments
* Support in organising promotional events or sales campaigns to attract new customers
* Keep up-to-date with product knowledge to effectively inform and advise customers
* Assist in training new team members as required, sharing organisational skills and best practices
Requirements
* Fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish or additional languages is advantageous
* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse customers
* Organised with excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively
* Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
* Experience in merchandising or retail sales is preferred but not essential; willingness to learn is key
* Good phone etiquette and professional demeanour when interacting via telephone or face-to-face
* Ability to upsell products tactfully while maintaining excellent customer service standards
* Organisational skills to manage stock levels and maintain a tidy sales environment
* Previous experience in a retail setting is desirable but not mandatory
