An exciting opportunity to provide administrative and reception support to the services within the new Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) at Montagu Hospital.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about the challenges of a busy, constantly changing environment, remain calm under pressure and achieve strict deadlines.
Highly motivated, you will be able to motivate and influence others, suggest and implement ideas to improve service performance and efficiency, and have excellent communication skills.
Main duties of the job
* Provide full record clerk duties on the CDC reception, developing efficient and effective services.
* Manage resources to achieve national and local quality and performance targets.
* Work closely with nurses, clinicians and Team Leaders to proactively manage patient pathways.
* Handle day‑to‑day reception duties and general administrative work.
* Maintain patient attendance records, manage referrals and appointments, and monitor and answer patient phone calls.
Person Specification
Knowledge and Experience
* Previous experience working in a clerical/administrative role.
* Demonstrable working knowledge of Microsoft Word and other packages.
* Commitment to acquire & apply knowledge of RTT National and local waiting times rules.
* Previous hospital or NHS clerical/administrative experience.
* Knowledge of medical terminology.
* Knowledge of Trust Policies, including Hospital to Treatment Patient Access Policy.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 2 GCSEs including English and Maths or equivalent qualification or relevant experience.

* Ability to deal calmly and diplomatically with a range of personalities and situations.
* Team player with a professional approach and ability to develop good working relationships.
* Ability to follow Trust policies and procedures.
* Demonstrates Trusts values and behaviours.
