This is a key leadership role on a high-profile site, supporting the Project Manager in delivering mechanical works safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards. You will play a crucial role in driving site performance, managing teams, and ensuring successful project delivery through to handover. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate all mechanical construction activities on site Support the Project Manager in delivering works in line with programme and project objectives Manage labour resources, subcontractors, and site teams Ensure the highest standards of health & safety, quality, and compliance are maintained Oversee installation of mechanical systems including HVAC, pipework, and plant Monitor progress, maintain site records, and report on performance Ensure plant, equipment, and materials are managed safely and efficiently Support commissioning activities and ensure systems are ready for handover Maintain site discipline and promote a high-performance team culture Mentor and support apprentices and junior team members Identify and escalate risks or issues impacting delivery Requirements Proven experience as a Mechanical Construction Manager on commercial construction projects Strong technical knowledge of mechanical building services systems (HVAC, pipework, plant) Experience managing subcontractors and site teams on fast-paced projects Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental systems Mechanical trade background or relevant qualification in Mechanical / Building Services Engineering Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills Ability to work in programme-driven environments and deliver to tight deadlines
