Senior Full Stack Systems Developer (Environment)
Location: Based near London
Salary: £80,000 - £85,000

The role calls for an experienced, capable Senior Full Stack Systems Developer who is passionate about the environment and ready to take on a variety of challenging projects alongside an established team of professionals, based just north of the exciting, diverse capital city of London.

Responsibilities
* Oversee a team of technology experts
* Lead the production, deployment and continued development of the company’s software products and services across the environmental sector
* Monitor the continued maintenance of the company’s core products and services
* Take responsibility for the long‑term quality and security of the source code
Required Skills and Experience
* Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a similar relevant discipline
* Extensive experience working as a Full Stack Developer in a UK setting
* Excellent working knowledge of the full software‑system lifecycle, including front‑end and back‑end aspects
* Experience with software systems/programs specifically within an environmental setting
* Demonstrable experience using Java middleware, API, Docker and MQ software
* Outstanding knowledge of performance and security in enterprise systems
* Experience working with networks: LAN, WAN/Internet and security
* Prior experience in database access design and application optimisation
* Demonstrable experience with human‑computer interaction (HCI) in software systems, including machine‑to‑machine automation technologies
* Highly proficient in software‑system design, development, testing and deployment strategies for high availability
Desirable Skills and Experience
* Experience developing software products for water/hydrological environments (e.g., flood‑risk and mitigation)
* Prior experience with deep‑learning neural‑network platforms
* Previous experience with enterprise Linux platforms
* Experience leading/mentoring a team of developers
