Main duties of the job
This post offers opportunities to:
1. Help lead the delivery of the clinical pharmacy service to the Paediatric Oncology Service at NUH
2. Engage in specialised clinical pharmacy duties, including multidisciplinary collaboration
3. Provide leadership, management, and support roles within the service
4. Line manage and support junior pharmacists within the Family Health and wider Pharmacy team

The neonatal service at NUH spans two sites, with ICU, HDU, and special care cots at both QMC and City Hospital. We serve vulnerable babies regionally, with QMC as a specialist neonatal surgery centre. The QMC neonatal unit is expanding, with new facilities opening in December 2024.
Our team of pharmacists and technicians within the Family Health Division is friendly and supportive, committed to providing excellent patient care.

Person Specification
Training & Qualifications (Essential)
* B.Pharm / BSc (Pharmacy) or MPharm, GPhC registered
* GPhC registration
* Diploma/MSc in clinical pharmacy or relevant postgraduate experience
* Demonstrates ongoing professional development
Training & Qualifications (Desirable)
* Additional postgraduate qualifications
* Membership of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (MRPharmS)
* Participation in national networks or specialist groups
* Leadership and management qualifications
* Independent prescribing qualification
Experience (Essential)
* Broad clinical pharmacy experience, especially in acute settings
* Knowledge of various clinical areas
* Experience in providing specialist pharmacy reviews and advice on medicines safety
* Experience developing and implementing medicines policies
* Line management experience, including performance management and recruitment
* Leadership and educational experience with pharmacy and healthcare teams
* Multidisciplinary teamwork at trust and regional levels
* Understanding NHS issues

* Publication of audit/research at national level
* Participation in national groups
