The role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated New Business Executive (Commercial) to join the team here at the Jensten Group. You’ll be mainly focusing on new business, generating new clients and building pipelines with the main aim of the role to add to the existing client base and increase income.
* Offer and present insurance solutions including insurance policies and other risk management solutions, with purpose to secure new business.
* Identify and pursue cross‑selling, up‑selling and similar opportunities. Utilise all leads provided to you by the company and develop new and efficient ways to increase the quote volume.
* Achieve or exceed the agreed volume of quotes/sales/income generated from all marketing sources including your own personal prospecting activity.
* Negotiate competitive terms with product/service providers to satisfy client requirements.
* Handle invoicing of all premiums due, including effective credit control where necessary.
* Understand client’s business operations, opportunities and risks and their approach to risk management and insurance.
* Ensure compliance with local procedures, customer service standards and external compliance regulations, e.g. FCA.
About You
As one of our New Business Executives, you’ll be a “go‑getter” type of person, being proactive and constantly prospecting for new clients. You’ll be able to build and strengthen relationships, do client visits where necessary and stay in regular communication. Your passion for providing solutions and flair for spotting opportunities will help existing and new clients forward.
* Insurance background – especially in commercial (essential).
* Proven successful new business income generation with passion and flair for new business (essential).
* Great customer service and communication skills.
* Excellent telephone manner, able to network and build working relationships easily.
* Drive and genuine passion to learn and develop within insurance and sales.
* Acturis system knowledge (ideally).
