The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for both staff and patrons. As a Door Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with licensing legislation and company policies while providing excellent customer service.
Purpose of Role To provide a safe and secure environment for customers, staff, and property by managing entry, monitoring behaviour, and responding to incidents in a professional and customer friendly manner.
Key Responsibilities
* Control entry to the venue, ensuring customers meet age and entry requirements
* Carry out ID checks in line with licensing and venue policy
* Monitor customer behaviour inside and outside the venue to maintain a safe welcoming atmosphere
* De-escalate situations using conflict management techniques
* Respond to incidents, including removing individuals where necessary, in accordance with the law and SIA guidelines
* Liaise with venue management and local authorities (police, licensing officers) as required
* Keep accurate incident and refusal records
* Conduct regular patrols of the venue and have a proactive approach to preventing issues within the venue
* Provide customer assistance, including giving directions to local amenities and or travel
* Ensure fire exits are kept clear and highlighted to the venue when not
Requirements
* Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to remain calm under pressure
* Professional appearance and attitude
* Understanding of licensing laws and venue entry policies
* Experience in conflict management and customer service (preferred but not essential)
* 5 year checkable work and address history ( BS7858)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £14.50-£15.00 per hour
