We can promise you rewarding work which makes a real impact, the chance to learn from inspiring colleagues from across a growing, global network and opportunities to grow personally and professionally.Our competitive package offers a wide range of benefits and rewards.The positionRES is seeking a SCADA Engineer to join the Group Engineering Industrial Control & SCADA (IC&S) team.The SCADA Engineer is responsible for providing expert guidance and hands on engineering support for the design, implementation, integration, and maintenance of SCADA systems and associated communications infrastructure across onshore and offshore wind, solar PV, energy storage (BESS), transmission & distribution, and green hydrogen projects.The role covers the end to end SCADA lifecycle, including architecture definition, detailed design, OEM and vendor integration, site communications, and support through commissioning and handover. You will work closely with multidisciplinary internal teams, clients, and suppliers to deliver safe, secure, robust, and supportable SCADA solutions.Accountabilities
1. Define SCADA system requirements and integration scope with project stakeholders
2. Lead and contribute to SCADA architecture design (servers, controllers, HMIs, networks)
3. Provide technical oversight of OEM and third party system integration
4. Review and approve SCADA engineering deliverables in line with RES standards
5. Support FAT, SAT, commissioning, and handover activities
6. Act as a technical escalation point for SCADA operational issues
7. Contribute to development and continuous improvement of Group SCADA standards, tools, and templates
Knowledge
8. Strong experience in industrial SCADA systems.
9. Knowledge of servers, controllers, and HMIs for industrial environments.
10. Understanding of control systems, substations, electrical equipment, and protection interfaces.
11. Experience with site communications infrastructure, including:
12. Ethernet and fibre optic networks
13. Industrial networking hardware
14. Network security concepts
15. Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as OPC, Modbus, DNP3, and IEC 61850.

Experience
22. Strong experience in industrial automation or SCADA engineering.
Qualifications
23. Bachelor’s degree in Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer/Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
24. Equivalent industry experience will be considered in place of formal qualifications.
