We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic property professional to become our Associate Director of Estates. This is a new senior leadership position that is essential to provide strong strategic direction for a large and complex estate and ensure the University can deliver its long-term growth and transformation plans aligned with our University Strategy 2035. You will be crucial in maximising value, managing risk, and overseeing the multi-million-pound capital programmes that will define the future of our campus.
The Role: As the Associate Director of Estates, you will:
2. Provide senior leadership, assisting the Director of Estates and Facilities.
3. Be responsible for the strategic planning, development, and optimisation of the University’s built estate.
4. Lead the Estates Masterplan and deliver major capital projects.
5. Ensure statutory and building safety compliance.
6. Oversee critical functions, including asset management and space utilisation.
7. Maximise financial and strategic value from the University’s land and property portfolio.
8. Strengthen organisational capacity to manage estate risks and maintain safe, compliant, and sustainable facilities.
You Will Bring:
9. Proven senior leadership experience in strategic estate management and planning.
10. Extensive experience leading and delivering complex, multi-million-pound capital programmes.
11. Deep expertise in asset management, space utilisation, and building safety/statutory compliance.
12. The ability to secure financial and strategic value from physical assets.
