The Botanist are hiring an Operations Chef! Your Job: To support our Kitchens, growing the best Chefs and delivering exceptional food. Reporting to the Operations Director, you'll work alongside an Operations Manager leading a team of Head Chefs, ensuring top-notch food standards, guest experience, and safety compliance. You will also nurture talent within your region to build a succession plan of kitchen superstars Responsibilities: Lead and inspire your team of Head Chefs Communicate regularly with the General Manager and Operations Manager on site performance Manage and coach Head Chefs based on monthly KPI results Ensure site profitability and adherence to health and safety standards Encourage career development for Department Managers Oversee implementation of best training practices Establish and maintain a talent pipeline and succession plan Maintain an upbeat and positive team culture Undertake Head Chef responsibilities as needed The role is field based with frequent travel to our sites in Bath, Bournemouth, Cardiff, Cheltenham, Exeter and Worcester. This role will be suited to someone living within reasonable daily commuting distance of all sites.
