Senior Demand Planner

Description
This is a senior-level, hands-on planning role, acting as the key support to the Demand Planning Manager. The role requires operational rigor alongside the ability to drive continuous improvement, influence stakeholders, and step in for the Manager as needed.
You will manage the short and long-term demand forecast for UK&I markets, using Advanced Planning System and trends to influence decisions. You will be part of the Demand and Supply department, and work hand in glove with the UK Commercial teams, and Senior Leadership for UKI Retail, Spas and Salons, and QVC channels. You will own the Demand Plan, communicating impact of changes to the plan, as well as Risks and Opportunities.
You will contribute to the Sales and Operating Planning (S&OP) process with strong communication that is data driven. There is lots of scope to contribute to special projects and other supply chain and business strategy initiatives, demonstrating leadership ability.
A strong collaborator, you will build relationships cross functionally to drive continuous improvement, align on actions, and tell stories with your data.
What Will You Do?
Demand Plan
* Lead Demand forecasting process utilising Advanced Planning System (statistical modelling, Risks & Opps, Scenario planning) as well as market insights and trends.
* Analyse sales data and perform root cause analysis on forecast errors to define and implement improvement actions.
* Assess the impact of market changes and/or incremental growth opportunities on the demand plan.
* Act as a key liaison between Commercial, Supply, and Finance, challenging assumptions and aligning inputs to build an integrated and realistic demand plan
* Generate a consensus demand plan through a collaborative, consensus-driven process that optimises the balance between market opportunity and supply network capability.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new product launches, discontinuations, promotions and events. Analysing impact on demand plan.
* Maintain and optimise Advanced Planning System, driving continuous improvement and process efficiencies. Identify opportunities for process improvement through technology advances.
Sales and Operations Planning
* Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying and taking actions needed.
* Play leadership role within the monthly S&OP process, supporting Demand Planning Manager in aligning and preparing for monthly Demand Review Meetings.
* Make recommendations to enhance business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiencies.
* Influence stakeholders using scenario planning and data storytelling to drive better business decisions
Other
* Support implementation of new systems and technology (e.g. Advanced Planning System (APS).)
* Become a SuperUser and Stakeholder of Advanced Planning System.
* Be an influencer of change, that new systems/processes require.

* Demonstrated experience leadingS&OPprocesses.

* Strength in communicating with stakeholders at all levels, and enjoys presenting to varied audiences, storytelling the data.

* Experience within FMCG, preferred.
* Experience of Anaplan system (APS) advantageous.
