CK211559 - Specialist Occupational Therapist
We are seeking a flexible, dynamic, and forward-thinking Occupational Therapist to join our friendly inpatient team at Dr Gray's Hospital, Elgin. This is a permanent position offering 37 hours per week.
The role requires experience in managing an acute clinical caseload across various clinical areas including general medical, surgical, medicine for the elderly, stroke, and orthopaedics. The successful candidate should have a strong interest in delivering evidence-based care to optimize occupational performance and promote safe, timely discharge from hospital. Excellent communication, assessment, and clinical reasoning skills are essential.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring effective service delivery, supporting and developing junior and support staff. Our well-established Moray Occupational Therapy Team emphasizes supervision, mentoring, quality review, and audit frameworks, aiming to provide excellent patient care. We maintain close working relationships with multidisciplinary colleagues within Moray, NHS Grampian, and nationally.
We support a healthy work/life balance. NHS Scotland has reduced full-time hours from 37.5 to 37 hours from 1 April 2024, and further to 36 hours from 1 April 2026, with no change in pay. This reduction applies pro-rata for part-time staff.
