Role: Graduate Electronic Engineer
Location: Whitstable, Canterbury, Kent
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000
We are looking for a graduate Electronic Engineer to become part of a busy avionics design team in a technically challenging and highly regulated environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for the development of electronics and embedded firmware aspects of avionic product design. This is a challenging and varied role suitable for a flexible individual who is customer-focused and is able and willing to take full ownership of projects whilst learning new skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Requirements capture and traceability from Customer requirements to detailed design
2. Schematic design capture and simulation
3. PCB layout review
4. Embedded firmware development
5. Supporting products through verification and qualification
6. Generation of appropriate design documentation
7. Responsible for the delivery of all aspects of the defined/delegated package of work which include, Technical Solution, Budget, and Schedule
8. Involvement in peer reviews
9. Keeping written accounts of activities completed and recording activities
10. Communicate and liaise with other departments and all levels of management
11. Attend meetings with the various departments
12. Designing and developing new products and supporting old products
Essential Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering or similar
2. Familiar with IT, especially spreadsheets and database applications
3. Good communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to work in a team whilst managing own responsibilities
4. It is essential to have a keen interest in solving practical problems and to enjoy the challenge of learning new skills
5. Some experience in electronic design and capture (OrCAD ideal)
6. Some experience of programming languages (i.e. C/C++)
7. An interest in Electronics/Avionics
8. Excellent team working abilities
9. Good planning skills
10. Organized approach
