We offer hybrid working with 2-3 days in the office. Occasional site visits may be necessary.
About the Opportunity
The Defence & Security business provides an exciting mixture of consultancy, design and engineering support, along with delivery of challenging Defence projects, to major clients in the UK across the nuclear and defence industries, including HMNB Clyde, HMNB Devonport, BAES Barrow and AWE Aldermaston.
Control and Instrumentation Engineer performs the assessment and design, and monitors ongoing process of a project, including the coordination of the project with project delivery team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leading/working with a team of Electrical and C&I designers/engineers in developing engineering deliverables throughout various stages of the project.
2. Preparing RAMS, carrying out visual and intrusive inspections analysing data and reporting.
3. Develop P&IDs and I/O schedules
4. Prepare plans, functional and technical specifications, contract documents, estimates and commissioning plans
5. Performs calculations and evaluations in the design of equipment and systems for industrial and commercial applications.

Here's What You'll Need:
6. Possess in depth knowledge of the C&I discipline from previous related industries.
7. Experience in C&I schemes including DCS, PLC, SCADA.
8. Functional Safety experience.
9. Experience of control & protection systems
10. Design Experience of sensors, relays, MCCs, circuit breakers and general control panel architecture.
11. Knowledge of electrical distribution systems.
12. Experience in a contracting environment, relevant site experience.
