Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Sourcing Specialist to join our Global Procurement team, supporting various categories of indirect spend across multiple geographies. We need someone experienced in procuring services, driving change in decentralized organizations, and embracing data-driven procurement strategies. The role suits a results-oriented self-starter with a strategic mindset, capable of thinking outside the box and considering different sourcing strategies based on spend needs and geographic scope. The successful candidate will enjoy working with diverse international teams.
Key responsibilities of the role:
1. Support AECOM’s Think & Act Global strategy by developing new category sourcing strategies across multiple countries/regions.
2. Identify opportunities for cost savings, including renegotiations and full RFP processes.
3. Use data analysis to identify opportunities for leveraging common spend across geographies.
4. Lead strategic sourcing projects, manage RFX processes, and ensure contracts deliver cost savings and improved quality.
5. Plan commercial outcomes, including baseline spend, sourcing strategies, and targeted savings.
6. Develop strategic partnerships within AECOM’s global business, establishing trust in procurement.
7. Utilize procurement technology and data to improve sourcing efficiency.
8. Support supplier relationship management with strategic suppliers, using KPIs and performance escalation.
9. Work with Source-to-Pay process owners to improve procurement efficiencies.
10. Contribute to the development and capability of the Global Procurement team by sharing best practices.
Qualifications
* BA/BS degree plus at least 6 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
* Strong strategic sourcing skills, including data analysis, RFX management, negotiation, and contract drafting.
* Commercial acumen with experience in cost savings and indirect spend categories.
* Proven track record of cost savings from strategic sourcing initiatives.
* Ability to engage global stakeholders and build rapport.
* Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with awareness of regional and cultural differences.
