About The Role
Working pattern: Variable shifts, 8 hours per day with start times required according to client needs and travel to sites in cluster.
Holiday entitlement will be accrued on a pro-rate basis in line with weeks worked.
As Cleaning Area Manager, you will ensure that cleaning staff perform their duties efficiently, maintain high cleanliness standards, and contribute to a safe and hygienic environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing a small team, looking after rotas, holidays, and performance and responsible for delivering training to all cleaning operatives and ensuring all records are updated correctly.
* Responsible for conducting cleaning audits on a weekly basis and escalating any areas of concern.
* An awareness of the need to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
* Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure work environment.
* This role may require the use of heavy industrial equipment, specialist chemicals and working at heights.
Ideal Candidate Criteria
* You must have Right to Work in the UK.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
* A background working in cleaning/ food manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
* Willingness to work at height.
* COSHH and IOSH trained desirable.
